Muscle Strains
Muscle strains occur when a muscle is overstretched or torn resulting in pain, weakness, and improper use of the muscle. They commonly occur in the low back, shoulder, neck, groin and hamstring muscles. And can cause limited range of motion, soreness, bruising, and stiffness. They may occur unexpectedly and/or may be a cause of not warming up appropriately prior to exercise, overuse or poor flexibility. We focus on techniques to minimize discomfort, promote flexibility and break apart muscle adhesions, or ‘knots’.
